Give Bidding on Airfare a Second Look

Bidding on Airfare Works Well with Flexible Travelers

If you're settled on your travel dates but you have some degree of flexibility in travel times, airfare-now.com is now recommending a second look at Priceline.com's "bidding" system.

Let's look at a hypothetical round trip airfare from NYC to JFK for March 20th with a decent round trip on American Airlines for $239. The Priceline website allows you to enter how much you would like to pay for airfare on that date. If you're wanting to pay a single dollar for the airfare, you probably won't get it. But if you enter a little more reasonable price (for example $100), the airline might accept the bid.

If the airline accepts the $100 bid, you are obligated to purchase the airfare which is a darned good deal when the rack rate is running $239! The downside of the system is that you can't choose the time of your flight or the number of legs. This means you might be leaving at 6 in the morning or 10 in the evening (times are revealed after the purchase is finalized) and you don't receive miles on your flights - a small inconvenience for a super airfare!

"If you have an airfare purchase coming up, you should consider downloading the new Save on Airfare Secrets course that's being offered by Tony Morrison before you book your flight. It's top quality material and could save you hundreds on that purchase...

You can also choose a Private Jet which will be more luxury and quick too comparing with commercial flights. No rush, no queue, they are always on your time schedule.
