Save up to 50% on Last Minute Fares at Hotwire!
I just wanted to call your attention to the "Save up to 50% on Last Minute Fares at Hotwire!" area on my blog's sidebar. This used to be a static set of links that I would change from time to time. It's now, however, a live feed that should always be updating itself and always be current.
I hope you'll find something there that will be useful to you!

Afraid to Fly... Have You Tried Meditation?
Afraid to fly?
It hardly makes sense to look for the cheapest airline flights if you're scared to death to even get on board - kicking and screaming all the way down the runway. I have blogged about fear of flying courses in the past, but I have never before blogged about meditation.
According to the frequent flyers of Wikipedia, meditation is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. My friend at TLK Knit and Sew tried it and reported that it was "nice to be able to clear the mind and just rest." In a post on the subject of meditation, she went on to say:
"I have also tried doing yoga off and on over the years but it's been really hard to get the yoga positions down. Hard to bend a body that way."All I know is that focused meditation calms the nerves and creates a sense of relaxation that works better on an airplane than a glass of wine. So search away for the best fares, and practiice focused meditation at the gate before boarding. You'll be amazed at how super it will make you feel!

Tony Morrison's Airfare Secrets... Good Stuff or Big Hoax?
Q. What is your opinion of the "Airfare Secrets" manual that is published by Tony Morrison? Do his techniques work or is it all a hoax?
A. Finding the cheapest airline flights is all about knowing the overall travel business and knowing how to play the game. Because of his former airline agent status, Tony Morrison has an insider scoop on the travel business that most folks will never be privy to. Tony has a bit of a chip on his shoulder from getting fired by the airline that he represented, so he released this book as "therapy" for himself.
If you routinely travel by air you will save quite a bit of money following the methods in this book, and if you travel by air only once each year you'll still save enough money to cover the cost.
You can read more about Tony Morrison's Airfare Secrets on his website. I like the material and give it a solid thumbs up. Oh... and if you're a cruiser, the Cruise Secrets manual that he throws in for free is solid gold!
